Granular activated carbon (coal-based) is manufactured from high-quality anthracite coal through crushing, screening, carbonization and high-temperature steam activation. It appears as irregular black fragmented particles with a well-developed pore structure, properly matched micropores and mesopores, high specific surface area and excellent mechanical strength. It generates low dust and delivers stable adsorption performance. Featuring good chemical resistance to acid and alkali and low flow resistance, it is easy for tank filling and widely adopted as filter media in fixed-bed adsorption systems. It can effectively adsorb organic contaminants, residual chlorine, color, odor and heavy metals in water and gas streams.
Water Treatment: Advanced treatment in waterworks for removal of residual chlorine, organics, color and odor; pre-treatment for seawater desalination and RO reverse osmosis systems; removal of organics and heavy metals for industrial circulating water, chemical wastewater and electroplating wastewater; swimming pool water purification.
Gas Treatment: Adsorption of VOC waste gas and deodorization for industrial plants; oil & gas recovery and solvent recovery; air purification and odor elimination.
Other Fields: Decolorization and purification in chemical liquid phase; purification for food & beverage industry; fluoride and heavy metal removal for groundwater.
Pre-treatment for drinking water / seawater desalination: Fill granular activated carbon inside fixed filter tanks. Water flows downward through the carbon bed. The recommended empty bed contact time is 6-12 minutes. Backwash shall be performed periodically. Replace carbon once saturated. It protects downstream RO membranes and reduces the risk of organic fouling.
Advanced treatment of industrial wastewater: Install activated carbon filter unit after biochemical treatment to remove residual COD, color and odor from effluent. Sand filtration as pre-treatment is recommended to reduce suspended solids and prevent carbon bed blockage.
Waste gas adsorption treatment: Load granular activated carbon into fixed adsorption towers. Waste gas passes through carbon bed for VOC and odor adsorption. Adsorption and desorption regeneration process can be equipped for low-concentration organic waste gas treatment.
Well-developed pore structure and large specific surface area, high adsorption capacity for organics and residual chlorine with stable removal performance.
High particle hardness, good wear and impact resistance, low breakage rate, little dust generation during backwashing.
Uniform particle size, low resistance for water or gas flow and low pressure drop across the filter bed.
Good chemical stability, resistant to weak acid and weak base, wide applicable pH range.
Stable raw material supply, customized specifications available; full export documents including COA, TDS and MSDS can be provided.
